For some months now, we (a group of British tennis fans) have been running inter-forum prediction contests. A dozen teams took part in our 'US Open pick 'em' (see http://www.britishtennis.net/07pickem/2007uotm.htm ), including RogerFederer.com, AndyRoddick.com, AndyMurray.com, etc, and each entry counts towards an individual competition too.
It is fairly easy to enter our Australian Open contest and you do all your predicting before the tournament starts, no need to remember to come back each day to do more forecasts. For every match in the draw (from R1 to the Final), you put a tick against the player you think will win and the draw automatically gets filled in for you. Then you choose a team at the bottom of the entry form, which can be found at http://www.xlw93.dial.pipex.com/pickemef.htm?n=1
Teams can have different numbers of participants and after I posted on the French part of this forum yesterday, RichardGasquet.com already has 7 entrants, which is more than the minimum of 5. Because the contest is just for fun / pride, you don't need to be 'selected' by anyone for a team, you just select the borad or forum that means most to you.
The RichardGasquet.net team finished 3rd in the RG contest and Zutoum from here was in the top three individually (out of 340 entrants) right up until the Final day.
