 That was a good start on the Asian tour. Richard defeated the Romanian Victor Crivoi 6-1 6-2 in little more than an hour.
The first set was a little bit shaky from both players, but Richard served well when he needed and broke his opponent twice to take the set 6-1.
In the second set, Richard showed all the variation he is capable of. Very solid on the backhand side, taking the net when it was appropriate, creating good angles and even winning points with the lob. Crivoi had no answers, thus the convincing result of 6-2.
His next opponent is a veteran on his come-back tour: great server Joachim Johansson from Sweden.
