Expectations were high for the French team in the Davis Cup final. But the Swiss team, consisting of world numbers 2 and 4 Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka proved too strong in the end.
After the first day, things looked still promising. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga lost the opener in four sets to Stan Wawrinka, but Gael Monfils beat Roger Federer in three sets.
