.. Richard showed great qualities in his 6-7 7-6 3-6 defeat against Tomas Berdych in the Shenzhen final. His text tournament is Bejing.
In the first set, there was nothing to seperate the players. Berdych won the tiebreak. In the second set, Richard was broken and started to look a bit flat, but reserved his best for the end. When the Czech served for the match at 5*-4, Richard rebroke and took the set again to a breaker which he dominated 7-2.In the third set, Richard still went for his shots, but some errors cost him a game at 3-2*. This time Berdych hold on to his break and scored a hard fought 7-6 67 6-3 victory.
