Richard defeated Radek Stepanek 7-5 6-3 6-0 and will play the winner of Granollers-Bolgomolov on Wednesday.
Richard has been prudent before this match, appreciating the Czech as a good grand slam player.The first set was close, but Richard was able to take his chances at 6*-5.With improved confidence, he got better and better, forcing more and more errors from the Stepanek raquet. A break in the 8th game brought him the second set.
In the third set, Richard was in full flow, while Stepanek disappaered: 6-0 in 24 minutes.
