Richard won his 7th ATP-title by defeating his compatriote Gilles Simon 6-2 6-1. His next tournament is Bejing where he will play a qualifier.

It started badly: Richard lost his serve right away, but got the rebreak immediately. Having achieved that, he started to outplay Simon on all accounts for a quick 6-2 win of the first set.

The second set was one way traffic against Simon who took a medical timeout, it did not help, though. Richard was in full fly for a convincing 6-2 6-1 victory and his 7th ATP title.
