Richard defeated Grigor Dimitrov 6-4 6-4 and will play the winner of Janowicz/Tsonga in the next round.

Dimitrov lost his opening service game and this was enough for Richard to take the first set. In the second set, Dimitrov went 2-0 up, but Richard broke back straight away. Dimitrov lost the plot, was broken again and this sufficed for Richard to extend his H/H to 4-0 against the young Bulgar.
