Tomas Berdych's victory against Milos Raonic sent Richard to the Year End Finals in London. Richard reacted with a 6-3 6-2 win over Kei Nishikori and will face Raffael Nadal in the quartes of Bercy.

When Richard started his match against Kei Nishikori, he knew already that he was guaranteed a spot in London. He broke Nishikori once in the first set and twice in the second set for a convincing 6-3 6-2 victory. Nishikori hit some nice shots, but overall Richard was far too solid and he particluarly broke down the backhand of the Japanese consistently.
