Richard and his partner, David Ferrer had a good win in doubles last night, taking out Grosjean/Niemeyer 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. On Wednesday, Richard will be back in singles action.
Richard prepared for his match yesterday by cheering on compatriot Serra, who advanced to the second round when Hewitt retired.
Richard's doubles proved especially useful, as his next opponent in singles is Sebastien Grosjean. Their match is third on Centre Court. The two have never met before in an ATP or Grand Slam event.
