Richard advances to the quarterfinal stages of Adelaide, unbeaten in his round robin group. He secured his position with a hard fought victory over Dancevic 7-5, 5-7, 6-3.

In the quarterfinals, Gasquet will face Australia's Chris Guccione.

Richard is also in action in the doubles, partnering Arnaud Clement. In the first round they knocked out the number three seeds, Aspelin/Haggard 6-1, 6-2.

Playing today, the pair then defeated Jim Thomas and Paul Goldstein 6-3, 6-3, so are through to the semis!
