today's results are
Yesterday I saw Andy's match against Seb and I think Andy improved a lot, he did some things he couldn't do before. (I was cheering for Seb but I'm not unhappy, Andy is doing a great job lately)
Today I watched James match and I still can't believe it, he was sooo close, and now the race for Shanghai it getting interesting with all of today's results!
And Pim Pim won against Davydenko! I'm really happy about his results after that much time out of the courts because of the injury! |

Yes, llom, Marat Safin is indeed a great tennis player I'm just glad that Marat is back on track these days. I'm certainly hopeful that his level of tennis and competitiveness will propel and remain with him throughout the rest of The Master Series in Madrid, Spain Wouldn't it be something for Marat Safin to be truimphant here with The Master Series title I definitely wouldn't mind, that's for sure I would like for everyone on the forum to share their own opinions/thoughts on whom will capture The Master Series title in Madrid, Spain I'm definitely looking forward to hearing everyone's insights on this. Please do share your opinions/thoughts here with me on this forum

andy roddick just lost to berdych. i'm alright with him losing..it's just he got an ankle injury in the second set. i really want him to be in top shape in shanghai. oh well.
i guess fed's going to win this one. there's really no clear threat. well, safin maybe..if he's in top form (which he is as of late...i'm thinking that he needs to be mentally tougher though.) |

I saw Andy - Tomas match today (I set my alarm at 7:30am to watch the match and I went to bed at 3:30am yesterday so I was really sleepy, I was cheering for Tomas so when he won I fell asleep again)
The match was really even and it only had one break, during second set... Tomas served more than 20 aces. I hope he can beat Rafa
The bad thing is Andy's injury I guess it's the same ankle.
David won so , I didn't see the match but I read that he and Henman had a discussion during the match, David has to play Marat now and I think if they both play their best it's going to be a great match, also because they know each other very well.
I saw second set of Federer's match and Soderling played a good match, I don't think Federer played his best but well, Roger is Roger!
and another bad thing is Pim Pim... he was playing so good, after all that time and... pharyngitis!!! it sucks! poor Pim Pim |

Daniela, I agree with you. That would be a terrific match if both of them play at their most optimal level of performance. The pending question here is if Marat can keep it together mentally, he should be just fine in the match That's what is so endearing about him. He's simply Marat What type of discussion was happening during that tennis match? What prompted this so-called discussion? Exactly where did you read about this?

it was something like David was serving and the ball was good and Henman didn't want to give the point to David or something like that. I couldn't watch the highlight so I really don't know what happened.
I saw David - Marat match today... it was GREAT! that's the kind of tennis matches I like to see, I like it when players never give up!
Marat had a ball that was in and could meant a match point! (next time ask for the repetition Marat!!!)
any of them could have won the match, it was very even, I'm happy for David and now he has to play agains Roger!!! what a match! If David keeps a very good level he can beat him, he knows Roger very well! and in my opinion Roger is now playing very good, I mean, he won every match but I don't think he's playing his best.
I couldn't watch Rafa - Tomas but I'm sooo happy for Tomas it seems that He's not afraid of Rafa.
[...]It was his third consecutive victory over Nadal in four career meetings. Only three other players – Lleyton Hewitt (4-1), Dominik Hrbaty (3-1) and Gaston Gaudio (3-3) – have beaten Nadal three times in their careers. [...] *
I hope Tomas beats Gonzalez and reach the final!!!

i only saw the third set of nalbandian and safin match at it was so awesome. i was clapping and screaming whenever they'd challenge a call. it really is a shame that marat lost already. i wish that match was in a final rather than in a quarterfinal. nevertheless, i really enjoyed watching that game and it reminds me why i'm a tennis fan. |

I'm soooooo upset
I didn't watch Roger - David because I don't know when was it! it wasn't the same time I read the OP! but because of the result I'm and and
I saw the repetition of yesterday's match against Tomas and Rafa, and I don't know, did anyone see it? what's the opinion about what Tomas did after the match? I don't think it was that bad, I mean, I love Rafa, I went to see him when he came to Buenos Aires, he seems like a great guy, but now I think his celebrations are turning into "hewitt" and I don't like that, the last celebrations were because of Tomas errors so I'm not sure if what he did what good but I don't think it's that bad like everyone said, Rafa said something to him at the end of the match like "it was very very bad" (with Rafa's english).
Today everyone was cheering for Gonzalez just because they seemed to hate Tomas and they didn't care about the match. I'm really sad because Tomas lost he didn't play good, he was very erratic and he seemed tired. He had good results and he did a great tournament so I'm happy about that.
I hope Roger wins the final.
by the way here's a pic about Tomas at the end of yesterday's match:

I found an article on ESPN website about what happened with Tomas and Rafa yesterday:
http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tennis/news/story?id=2633022
I don't see in a bad way that the crowd is screaming and cheering for a player, and if you're in Spain, the crowd is going to be cheering for Rafa, Tomas should know that, but I don't think he had a bad reaction, I don't think he's a bad person for what he did. Tomas is right when he says that people shouldn't be cheering his mistakes because it's not Davis Cup. And if the crowd is against him, why can't he react like that?
I would kill him if he does something like that in Buenos Aires just kidding!
you can see what happened if you search the video on youtube:
www.youtube.com
(I don't have the exact link right now, sorry)
Opinions???
